KATHMANDU, Aug. 8: The meeting of the Council of Ministers on Wednesday has transferred Forest Secretary Nabin Ghimire to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Similarly, Surya Seluwal has been installed in the Ministry of Information and Communications while Nathu Chaudhari in the Public Service Commission, Gyan Darshan Udas in the Election Commission, Dharanidhar Khatiwada and Madhav Regmi in the Office of the Prime Minister, Tilak Ram Sharma in the Defense Ministry, Dr Ganesh Raj Joshi in the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr Krish Prasad Poudel in the Ministry of Forest, Durga Nidhi Sharma in the Ministry of General Administration, Dhana Bahadur Gurung in the Public Procurement Office, and Yagya Prasad Gautam in the Tourism Ministry.
According to the meeting, Dr Hari Dahal has been transferred to the Far-Western Region as acting regional administrator while Narayan Gopal Malego in the Western Regional Office, Ramesh Bista in the Central Regional Office, Rana Bahadur Shrestha in the Eastern Regional Office and Phulgen Pradhan in the Mid-Western Regional Office.
Deputy Inspector General of Police at Nepal Police Hospital, Dr Ram Nath Singh has been promoted to the post of Assistant Inspector General of Police in the Hospital.
According to Minister for Information and Communications, Raj Kishor Yadav, the government would return Nepali labours stranded in Madagascar through the Foreign Ministry and manage the necessary expense needed for this.
Minister Yadav added that the government decided to bar women below 30 years to go to the Gulf countries to work as labourers.
Moreover, Karma Syangbo Sherpa will be appointed Vice-chairman of the Lumbini Development Trust for five years. The meeting today also approved the resignation of Dr Bhesh Raj Kandel from the post of the Chairman of Nepal Telecom Authority.
The differences in ration system in the Nepal Police and Armed Police would be minimized, Minister Yadav added.
