  Pun says govt for investment friendly environment

KATHMANDU, Aug 6: Finance Minister Barshaman Pun has said the government has been making investment friendly environment to attract private investment in the physical infrastructures like road network, hydro power, drinking water and telecommunications.

The government has taken a policy of working with public-private partnership concept to develop infrastructure, said Pun.

Addressing a program organized jointly on Monday on ´private investment in infrastructure´ by the Investment Board and World Bank, he said efforts are on to make a more investment friendly environment.

Investment Board Chief Executive Officer Radhes Pant said the Board has brought various programs for the same. World Bank Transport Expert Farhad Ahmed said there is a need to work with the public-private concept in infrastructure development.
