SINDHUPALCHOWK, Aug 4: An 82-year-old woman has been murdered in Thulopakhar-8, Timure on Saturday. Nyauli Tamang was found dead with eight stabbing marks on various parts of her body, according to the police.
Tamang, who was staying alone after the death of her husband two years ago, has no children.
“She wasn´t rich and didn´t own much land. It is unclear why she was killed. Our investigation is under way,” said Balaji Rayamajhi, Inspector, Area Police Office, Bahrabise.
The woman´s relatives informed the police after they found her dead in her bed in the morning. “Her relatives have not suspected anyone for the killing and we could not find any evidence left by the killer at the site,” Rayamajhi said.
