KATHMANDU, Aug 1: To celebrate International Youth Day this month, USAID Nepal in partnership with Youth Initiative is holding an Essay Competition on topics; Fostering Nepali Youth to become Champions of Reform and Designing a Better Future for the Country.
The winning essay is set to get cash prizes and will also be published in the weekend edition of Republica, The Week and USAID Nepal’s publications including the monthly newsletters. The winner will also get a chance to travel to mid and far-west Nepal with USAID staff for a first-hand exposure of the ongoing development activities in the country.
The top two winners are set to be announced on August 24, 2012 via http://nepal.usaid.gov and USAID’s social media sites.
The Competition officially opened on August 1 and is scheduled to end on August 12, 2012. The competition is open to all citizens of Nepal aged 18 to 30, living in or out of Nepal. The entries must be emailed before August 12, 2012 to usaidnepal@gmail.com with the subject line USAID Nepal Essay Contest.
