  UCPN-Maoist forms 175-member convention organizing committee

KATHMANDU, Aug. 1: The Unified CPN-Maoist has decided to constitute a 175-member general convention organizing central committee on Wednesday.

At the meeting held at party headquarters, Koteshwor, Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal proposed 175-member general convention organizing central committee, said Spokesperson Dina Nath Sharma.

The central committee would be expanded by prioritizing women, Dalit, Madhesi and indigenous nationalities.

The party leadership has been demanded to comprise some 200 persons from various state committees of the party.

Although the meeting discussed about the names proposed in the committee, the meeting on Thursday would take decision to the regard, said Spokesperson Sharma.

Similarly, the next meeting would also decide about the sharing responsibilities of party leaders
