KATHMANDU, July 28: Nepali Congress (NC) central committee member Dilendra Prasad Badu has been assigned the NC Spokesperson.
President of the NC, Sushil Koirala, on Saturday assigned leader Badu as the NC Spokesperson as per the party statute.
Similarly, NC leaders Ram Krishna Tamrakar and Baburam Rana were assigned the Coordinator of the Kathmandu Valley Coordination Committee and NC central member, respectively, the NC stated in a press release today.
The party also formed two Directive Committees under the NC General Secretaries to successfully conclude the general convention of the party´s sister organizations.
The Ad-hoc Committees formed to carry out the task to successfully concluding the general conventions of different seven sister organizations got full shape after party leaders made understanding to settle disputes appeared in the party´s sister organizations though some of them still have differences of opinion.
A Central Directive Committee has been formed coordinated by NC General Secretary Prakash Man Singh to successfully conclude the general convention of Nepal Students Union, Nepal Indigenous Nationalities´ Union, Nepal Farmers´ Union, Nepal National Magar Union. NC central member Badri Pandey is the other member of the committee.
A committee has been constituted under the convenorship of party general secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula and with central member Kamla Panta for holding the general convention of Nepal Tarun Dal, Nepal Women´s Association and the Nepal Democratic Fighters Association. The chiefs of the departments concerned are also on the committee.
One member remains to be nominated to each committee, according to the party. The committee shall organize the general convention, support the ad-hoc committee and also issue directives.
