PARASI, July 26: The flood in Narayani River has terrorized the folks at Triveni-Susta in Nawalparasi district.
Chairman of ´Save Susta Campaign´, Gopal Gurung, said that the swelling river has started inundation in the area, terrorizing the locals.
Inspector of the Armed Police Force, Susta, Salikram Pokhrel said the river has inundated some paddy fields as well.
According to the Gandak River Water Project, some 217,200 water is flowing into the barrage and the level of water is expected to go up in the river.
The inundation at Triveni-Susta is being uncontrolled as no alternative measure is taken so far to control flood. At least 350 families of Susta would be directly affected due to the flood in the river.
