KATHMANDU, July 20: Sahara Football Club UK, which supports Sahara Club in Pokhara, has joined Hampshire League this season.
The information provided to Republica suggests that a 20-member squad has been finalized to compete in the Hampshire league.
According to Sahara UK President Navin Gurung, Nawal Gurung and Sandeep Upadhyay will lead the team. "The main aim of joining the local league is to create an identity of the Nepalese team (Sahara FC UK) in UK and give the opportunity to talented Nepalese players in UK and Nepal," said Gurung.
"This project could open doors for many Nepali players in UK. Those who can play better here can go to Nepal and play in National leagues and even from the National side," he added.
