  EU ambassadors meet President

REPUBLICA

KATHMANDU, June 13: The European ambassadors on Tuesday called on President Ram Baran Yadav and asked him to play the role of the guardian of the constitution and facilitate consensus among political parties.

According to an official of an embassy of an European country in Kathmandu, the ambassadors met the president to express their concerns over the political and constitutional crisis facing the country.

They also expressed their concern over the controversy surrounding the promulgation of the ordinances on anti-money laundering. They were also equally concerned over vacancies in constitutional bodies and of constitutional vacuum to fill up those posts, according to the official.
