KATHAMANDU, April 30: China Three Gorges University (CTGU) on Monday announced to honor CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal with a honorary doctorate degree next year. The president of CTGU Li Jianlin made the announcement amid a press conference at Reporters Club.
Li said leader Nepal is being honored with the doctorate degree on the occasion of the 90th year of the establishment of CTGU.
Likewise, he also announced to provide scholarships to 10 Nepali students over the span of five years.
“We will provide scholarships to 10 students in the fields of engineering, medicine and hydropower, among others,” said Li during the program. Li, on a two-day visit to Nepal, met President Dr Ram Baran Yadav on Monday.
