  UML is not against Madhes issues: Khanal

KATHMANDU, April 6: CPN-UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal has brushed aside allegations that his party has an anti-Madhes stance and said whoever accused his party of being biased against Madhes issues are shallow in their thought.

Khanal said this during telephonic conversations with party leaders, civil society activists and media persons of Sarlahi district on Friday. OnThursday, Khanal started telephonic conversations with party leaders of various districts to learn of public opinion on the constitution drafting process.

The UML chairman held telephonic conversations with Manoj Kumar Devkota, UML´s Sarlahi chief, Krishna Prasad Bhattarai, an intellectual, civil society activist Dr Siaram Kushwaha and journalist Chudamani Wagle today.

Khanal is scheduled to hold similar conversations with party leaders, intellectuals and civil society activists of Mustang on Saturday, informed his aide Rambabu Adhikari.
