KATHMANDU, Nov 25: The Department for International Development (DfID) of the United Kingdom (UK) has announced a grant of Rs 800 million for the operation of paralegal committee program in Nepal.
The DFID has made this announcement of support to expand the program being implemented by the United Nations Children´s Fund (UNICEF) in other districts of Nepal.
DFID Head of Office Sarah Sanyahumbi made this announcement to UNICEF at a program organized here on Wednesday by DfID Nepal.
The program, which is being operated in 500 VDCs of 23 districts, is said to be expanded in 1,300 VDCs of 75 districts.
On the occasion, Secretary at the Ministry of Local Development Shyam Prasad Mainali expressed confidence that the program would substantially help women empowerment in Nepal.

Yeah, they announce 800 million rupees for Nepal.and gave that to UNICEF? So UNICEF do gooders foreigners will spend 600 Million on Land Cruisers, 190 Million on their salaries and 10 Million will go down to people. Wake up people. This is not a grant, this is DFID smokescreen and an international cartel business.
