KATHMANDU, Nov 14: The International Road Federation has conferred Global Achievement Award on Rural Access Program (RAP). The DFID-funded project bagged the award for advocacy category. RAP has been running its road-cum-livelihood projects in seven districts since 2001.
“This is a prestigious international honor. It has recognized RAP´s contribution in boosting economic development, improving livelihoods and reducing poverty through the construction of roads,” said Dhan B Tamang, Director General of the Department of Local Infrastructure Development and Agricultural Roads (DoLIDAR), which executes the project.
