MORANG, Sept 11: President of the Nepali Congress, Sushil Koirala has reiterated his stance that the NC will never make any compromises with anyone in the expense of democratic values and principles.

Inaugurating a blood donation program organized by the NC Biratnagar Town Committee to mark the 98th BP birth anniversary on Sunday morning, Koirala claimed those who wished to abolish democracy will be finished off as were the Ranas in the history. [break]

Maoists will also face the same fate as the Rana, Panchayata and former King Gyanendra had to encounter if the former are also opting for ruining democracy, leader Koirala warned.

He also informed that progress is being made at substantial level to bring the peace process to logical end in a bid to consolidate democracy.

The NC will not keep up its vitality without adopting BP’s thoughts, he claimed, adding that the party is committed to safeguard the nationality, democracy and socialism.

Publicly, he also made it clear that he held no meeting with UCPN (Maoist) Chairperson Dahal recently in the eastern region, adding he had also heard he was in Siliguri of India.
