A meeting of the NC Parliamentary Party held at Singha Durbar on Saturday concluded that the "baseless" allegation goes against the politics of consensus.
The meeting urged Khanal not to engage in any blame game as there was no alternative to working unitedly to accomplish the task of drafting a new constitution on time and taking the ongoing peace process to a logical end.
Talking to myrepublica.com, NC Parliamentary Party spokesperson Nabindra Raj Joshi said the meeting took "seriously" Khanal´s allegation that NC was to blame for the current political deadlock.
The meeting also urged the UCPN(Maoist) to fully abide by past agreements and return land and property they seized illegally. “The meeting expressed concern over the Maoists continuing to seize property instead of returning what they seized in the past,” said Joshi.
He said they have decided to ask the Home Ministry to take the initiative to help return illegally seized property.
The NC Parliamentary Party meeting lauded the government´s decision to recommend NC President Girija Prasad Koirala for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Mr Speaker, Either Prove or Apologize!
